Adding a card starts by asking what kind of idea you’re adding. That question is doing real work: the types are a small shared vocabulary for the moves that build knowledge.
In this clip
- Bit — a raw thought you can’t categorize yet
- Question — something you want to open up
- Claim — a statement you want to test
- Evidence — what you test a claim against
- Synthesis — several ideas pulled together
- Draw — a sketch
- Changing a card’s type by clicking its symbol
Try it: Look at a card you wrote earlier. Is it still the type you gave it? If your thinking moved, change it.
